An addition to the hotel with the tower wing added in 1929, The Chisholm Trail Room features Burled Walnut wainscoting made from the original 1886 headboards and footboards of the custom-crafted beds for suites.

The room’s mural was painted in 1995 by Texas artist Joe Barbieri, and holds a few hidden images, including a sign reading “Austin, 500 miles,” a young boy, and a set of smoke signals rising from the mountains that spell out “DRISKILL.”

For Austin meetings and events, the Chisholm Trail Room offers an ideal location at the top of the grand lobby staircase and 640 square feet to fir 16 to 50 guests depending on room setup.
