Celebrate seasons of merriment and good cheer at Austin's most traditional hotel. We invite you to mark your calendars for the following favorite holiday celebrations each year, and may our #DriskillTraditions become yours!
Texas Independence Day - On March 2, celebrate this Texas holiday in a style and manner that only the oldest hotel in Texas's capital can do – with local brews and classic cocktails, Texas history, live local music, southern hospitality, and above all, Texas spirit.
Easter & Mother's Day Brunches- Celebrate with loved ones in the intimate and iconic Driskill Grill, as you enjoy an artfully crafted menu of both traditional and creative brunch indulgences.
Holiday Teas - Our delightful Victorian Afternoon Teas are offered on additional days to celebrate Mother’s Day and the December Holiday Season.
Thanksgiving Mezzanine Brunch- An elaborate brunch buffet takes place only once a year on the opulent Driskill Mezzanine, featuring traditional Thanksgiving fare and breakfast favorites.
Tree Lighting - Kick off the holiday season, gathered round, as we light the grand lobby tree and delight in beautiful holiday music and caroling.
Cookies for Caring - In 1969 volunteers organized a bake sale to save the hotel from demolition, and because of their efforts, the hotel is still standing today. Cookies for Caring continues the tradition of The Driskill’s beloved baked sales, and raises funds for the Austin American-Statesman’s Season for Caring.
Christmas and New Year's Dinners - The holidays wouldn’t be complete without a festive feast. Embrace the romantic setting of the iconic date spot of LBJ and Lady Bird at The Driskill Grill.
New Year's Eve at The Driskill Bar -“New Year’s Eve in The Driskill will be a night to savor. You await the dawn of an exciting new millennium surrounded by the grace and refinement of a by-gone era—a taste of several centuries in one handsome setting!” – Lady Bird Johnson
